Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that vacuum and clean provide the convenience of cleaning both dry debris and wet messes in one go without the need to switch between devices. They can also reduce space in comparison to two separate units, particularly in smaller living areas.
A good combination bot will offer excellent navigation and obstacle avoidance. Look for models that have docks that allow them to automatically empty their bins, replenish their water tanks, and wash the mopping pads.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It has plenty to offer at a affordable price and is one of the easiest robots we've tested to set up. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and the quick-start guide will get you up and running with a clean, complete dust bag, floor solution for hard floors and water tank in a matter of minutes.
The S1 Pro is a powerful little machine that mops up a storm and vacuums well too. The mops are spun at a high speed and utilize 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to take away pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum has four power modes, a range of attachments and brushes, and a user-friendly application that lets you pick the kind of cleaning you'd like to have for each room.
For instance, you can ask the robot to clean the kitchen and living room thoroughly, but leave the bedroom to itself. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors as well as smart navigation technology. It is able to detect small obstacles that other models cannot. Its only minor issue is that it can crash into walls and objects at a high speed, but an instant glance at the cleaning history in the app tells you exactly what it's doing, where it's going and the obstacles it's run into or avoided.
A handy LCD screen on the docking station shows you when maintenance tasks are required like emptying the debris tray, and rinsing its dirty water tank. It also mixes detergent into the tank by itself with a 600ml of eufy solution.
Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long run time. The mop is able to run for 184 mins in Quiet Mode, and the vacuum can run for 136 minutes in standard mode, before needing recharging or returning to the base. The app is easy to use and intuitive, allowing you to see every aspect of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's flagship robot mop and vacuum, is the newest version. The model this year has two agitators built into its mopping pad. This improves the cleaning capabilities of carpets with this model. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction power that allows it to pick up smaller hairs as well as other debris other robotic cleaners could miss.
The Roborock model, just like the other two models I tested it has infrared and a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology to help it overcome obstacles like furniture, walls and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things one step further by incorporating a dual camera that can detect objects and decide whether they're a wall or another surface. It then can alter its direction automatically and clean around them without missing a step.
It's the most expensive robot I've ever tested however it also comes with the most features. Its sleek, angular design is eye catching, and it only has three physical buttons. The power button, which restarts the cleaning mop function, a button for cleaning that doubles as a child-lock and a home-button that can take the robot to its dock. The hinged lid opens to reveal a 350ml dustbin as well as a 200ml water tank. The water tank self-empties and the bin is auto-filling.
The only downside I've found with this model is that its VibraRise mop pad mount isn't removable. It is possible to change the mopping cloth if required, but it's not easy to take the mount off for washing manually. I've found that any plush carpet that the robot touches will be in contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, and that can cause abrasions.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart capabilities which include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. The Roborock app lets you manage and configure these smart features. It also contains maps and advanced mopping options. The app lets you plan cleanings and monitor battery life. You'll need to jump through a few steps to enable voice control on this model. It's a shame, considering the performance otherwise.
3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop that has incredible suction power, sophisticated mowing capabilities, and a variety of innovative features. Its clever design permits customized and efficient cleaning while reducing time.
The X40 is the first robot vacuum cleaner that can deliver 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which easily makes it one of the most effective alternatives available. This powerful vacuum can clear up pet hair dust, crumbs and any other dry debris. It also has a high-quality mop that leaves floors spotlessly clean, even without a wet pad. The X40 is also extremely quiet while in use and only occasionally bursting during modes changes or self-maintenance.
Another notable feature is the X40's extendable and liftable side brush, which allows it to get into difficult-to-access corners as well as clean furniture, such as tables and chairs' legs. It also allows the robot to reach under low-profile furniture, making it a great choice for small apartments and condos with limited space. The side brush tilts automatically down when it spots wet spots. This is a nice feature that allows the X40 to prevent damage to floors from repeated back-and-forth movements.
Unlike other robots, which are limited to a single task, the X40 can vacuum and mop at the same time. It can be programmed to only mop the hard floors and skip carpeted areas, or reverse the process. It can be controlled by the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure that voice-controlled operations are smooth and easy.
The app is simple to use and intuitive and the X40 comes with a variety of smart features that are easy to set up. Users can program the X40 for cleaning at specific times. It can also be adjusted to adjust suction power, change modes, view maps and floor plans, and manage mopping setting. The X40 will also track its progress, and alert you when it is finished.
The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with numerous convenient features, making it a great option for busy families. The docking station automatically empty the trash bin into a 3.2 L bin, cleans the mop pads, then refills them with clean water and a cleaning solution. It also can detect when the mop pad is overflowing and alert you before it gets overflowing, reducing the necessity for manual maintenance.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models on the market. It has many characteristics that make it stand out. The mops are equipped with a new feature called Smart DuoScrub. It makes use of two mops with high-speed motors to clean floors more thoroughly than the conventional method, and it comes with an impressive suction power of 7,000Pa. This is higher than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also clean pet hair, small dirt particles, and clean up spills and dirty spots.
The mops are also cleaned and dried inside the base station after every use. This feature is great because it stops mould and unpleasant odours from building up in storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a system we've yet to see on other robot vacuums and mop models and it could be a great way of keeping your home hygienic for longer.
There are a lot of options, including the ability to schedule cleaning times and adjust preferences. The app allows you to make these settings or you can utilize the buttons on the device itself. The app is simple to use and offers many options for customising the cleaning routine. Additionally, there are numerous features that other robots don't include, such as the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power when it detects dust particles instead of using the manual setting.
The L20 Ultra is also one of the most stylish robots we've seen on market, with metallic and white design that is elegant and stylish. It is a little heavier at 4kg than the other robots on this list however it's not a lot of weight. best robot vacuum cleaner feels solid and well-constructed. The mopping system is well designed and the double-rotating mop works well on hard floors or in corners. They can even extend to 2mm of baseboards due to the MopExtend feature which is a nice feature.
